The main directions of activity of structural section: The main directions of activity of the Livestock Genetic Resources laboratory are determination, investigation and rational using of the indigenous and introduced livestock, poultry, silkworm and bee genofund in Azerbaijan. Furthermore, investigation and passportization of breeds using by morphological, biochemical and molecular markers and establishing of Data Base is intended.
Main scientific results (outcome) of structural unit: Following results were got in the last 5 years:
- 2 silkworm breeds and 2 hybdreeds are presented to the state testing.
- The patent for the 2 silkworm breeds and 2 hybdreeds have been obtained.
